19 Unhinged Letterboxd Reviews For Film Buffs
Should we all be trauma dumping on the platform where people rate and track the movies they’ve watched? Maybe.
The social media film app, Letterboxd is society's answer to where we should put all the annoying film buffs from across the internet. Yes, there are still annoying film people on Twitter and Reddit. But, they really combine their energies and powers on Letterboxd where it seems everyone is trying to write the most unhinged review on any given film. We’ve collected some of the best (or worst) short reviews from the film app.
Some reviews pick apart the smallest things from a film and other reviews are just a journal entry into the reviewer’s life that may have little to do with the film. How else could you give Apocalypse Now a one-star rating, if not because you got into a terrible car accident after watching the film? Sure making movies is hard and filmmakers want audience members to analyze the technical choices in their reviews, but it’s even more real to see someone praise Leonardo Dicaprio’s performance in Don’t Look Up for pretending to be into women his age. I can trust that critic.
